It’s been almost five months since I last posted here. And I’m not sure if I’m going to post for another five. But just got back from Barcelona and have around 2,500 pics to sort through. What a city! Also (somewhat less glamorous - unless you’re a train freak) took the Amtrak from Oakland to [...]

Lecturer Gone Wild
March 26th, 2008 · 2 Comments
So we are having Spring Break. It’s a relief not to have to deal with the clamour of students. Although, over time it does become white noise and you can block it out (I’m from Bombay).
And that’s also why I have some extra time to feed the ever-increasing belly of The Great Ganesha.
Just FYI…

February 9th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Well, you switch of comments notification for a few days, and find that there’s a mini-movement happening on one of your posts.
Firstly, thanks a lot guys (and especially you, CK) - it means a lot.
But I wasn’t planning on shutting things down here. Because it’s so crazy teaching here, I’ll just be cutting down the [...]

Posting is Suspended
February 2nd, 2008 · 6 Comments
Well, folks, it has been a long, strange trip, but I am suspending posting on this blog for the time-being. It was a tough decision, and took me long time to come to terms with it. The main reason is the lack of time (and energy). See you around!

Who knows? Maybe something interesting will emerge…

Greg “John Roberts” Kinnear
October 19th, 2007 · No Comments
John Roberts made the cover of Time this week, in an article that asks about the relevancy of the Supreme Court today. But that’s not what I’m writing about. Is it me, or does John Roberts look like Greg Kinnear? Dammit, every time I look at Roberts, I think it’s Kinnear!

The City So Nice They Named It Twice

I’m off to New York, New York for a week for some work, a wedding and some partying. The blog may see intermittent postings if I get time. But don’t worry, I’ll make it up when I get back. That’s a promise.
Meanwhile, here’s an excellent Goodness Gracious Me sketch (one of my favorites, [...]

Married To Your Blog
August 14th, 2007 · No Comments
An article from two weekends ago in the WSJ talks about what happens to a marriage as technology gets more and more programmed for individual use. If you’re married, you know where this is going. He likes techno, she likes rock. He likes sci fi, she likes romantic comedies. And that leads us to some [...]
