Spartans! Prepare for glory!

The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant. That few stood against many. And before this battle was over, that even a god-king can bleed.

- Spartan King Leonidas

I’m just kidding. This post has nothing to do with the movie 300 other than the geeky fact that I’m posting it exactly 150 days after the movie’s U.S. release date, and 150 is 300 divided by two. Well, that and also that this is my 300th post. Yup, that’s three hundred, folks!

You know, I never thought this day would come. And I can’t say that I’ve gone it alone. There are so many people to thank. First of all, I’d like to thank my agent. I would have never been able to do it without my agent. He’s been around for so long…

He’s been with me for 12 long years and you’ve fought every fought [sic] and you’ve loved me when I’ve been up. But more importantly you’ve loved me when I’ve been down.

Thank you [...] India – thank you for giving me peace because only with the peace that you’ve brought me have I been allowed to go to places that I never even knew I can go. [...]

I – who else – I have so many people that I know I need to thank um… my lawyers Neil Meyer. Thank you –

[The orchestra starts playing at this point]

OK wait a minute – I gotta take this – 74 years here – OK I’ve gotta take this time.

[...]

I need to thank, lastly but not leastly [sic] I have to thank Spike Lee for putting me in my very first film and believing in me.

Oprah Winfrey for being the best role model any girl can have. …thank you to Warren Beatty… Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And also, many, many thanks to Halle Berry for her Oscar speech. She saved me the effort of writing a speech myself. Although personally, I have to say, I wouldn’t have thanked Warren Beatty. He’s been to this blog once or twice, but it’s not like he’s a regular or anything. I’d definitely thank Oprah, though. Don’t want to mess with her…

Here’s looking to three hundred more posts.
