Check out this month’s issue of Thirsty. It’s got my (brief) coverage of last month’s South Asian Film Festival in San Francisco here. I review Omkara (2006) and Sholay (1975). The Sholay one is not so much a review as a retrospective look into why it’s the phenomenon that it is. Can’t give you any answers, but (hopefully) you’ll get some insight. This month’s issue also has a revamp of my interview with Nikhil here (a version of it was on my blog some time back here).

I’m a Blogcritic
Blogcritics has also accepted my reviews of Omkara and Sholay from the Film Festival. They’re here.

That was a bit of news I was saving up: I’ve been accepted by the ‘Sinister Cabal of Superior Writers’. So that’s pretty neat. For the more diligent of you, they did appear on my sidebar as soon as my first article came on there. But I didn’t have time to post anything more about it until now.

I’ll be writing regularly over there from now on. Expect to see reviews of some more films from the festival on there soon.
