talking about mushy...

http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/001200610061652.htm

Check this out. I am amazed that a big publishing house like Simon and Schuster cannot even proof read a book properly.

j,

about the war: i'm not so sure that we can blame mushy all by himself. i am by no means an expert on this, but i do think that there is an element of truth to what the some of the american media say: that he is a moderate caught in a war against the more extreme elements in his government. perhaps you should read the book. who knows? maybe you might even learn something about him.

that being said, it is terrible about all those who have died (and are still dying) in kashmir before, during and after kargil. i lost a friend of mine there as well. he was only 24. it's mindless, especially in the context of the other, more serious problems troubling our country.

but anyhow, on a lighter note, i'll check out the "indo-pak war" on amazon. that sounds amusing...

-gg

ps: i too, saw him on stewart. at least he has a sense of humor, right? :)

Saw Musharraf on the Daily Show and have been reading scraps about his memoirs here and there on the net. I almost want to read the book. I am torn. My sore point is the Kargil War and having been personally affected by it (My dad was in the Indian Army and Ihave friends who lost fathers in the war) I think I will just get a "little" agitated :| on reading stuff about it.
Anyway, I still ventured on to Amazon to check out the price and scrolled down to the reviews. And lo behold, we have a mini war going down there between the Indians and the Pakistanis. That made me really not want to read it.....
