The Ballad of East and West (Revisited)

Posted at 11:32 PM, July 28, 2006 · No Comments

OH, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God’s great Judgment Seat;
-Rudyard Kipling

I’m referring neither to the “east” nor to the “west” that is alluded to in the words of the great writer. In fact, my east and west will indeed be meeting. And there won’t be any horsemen of the apocalypse either, so don’t start changing your religion just yet. East and west will be meeting because yours truly is leaving his old abode on the east coast of these, here, fine United States and heading west. To San Francisco, to be precise.

We’ll be going via Chicago, Rushmore, Yellowstone, Salt Lake City and the myriad of pit stops we choose to make in the heartland and beyond.

And for all you lucky devils out there, I’m going to be blogging the whole damn thing. Yessirree Bob! So bring out your wireless routers, put on your reading glasses (or increase the font size, whatever suits you better) and relax with a nice hot cup of tea and your laptop. Because you’re in for the ride of your life!

Well, a little hyperbole never killed anyone, right?

Stay tuned…

Update: It all starts here.
